Discover the true Saxon experience at ?ura Sasului
In the last two years we started a beautiful project in the village of Amna? in Sibiu: the renovation and the putting into the tourist circuit of a Saxon creek.
Originally built in the early 20th century, the raft served the property of a wealthy sax. After 100 years, only the shingle remained, the house being demolished during the communist period.

About ?ura Sasului
After two years of renovations, we managed to maintain and strengthen the initial resistance structure and create a beautiful holiday home with 4 bedrooms with their own bathrooms and a generous living room for the long evenings spent around the table.
At ?ura Sasului you will discover that each room tells a story and is unique in its own way. We tried to recreate the atmosphere of a Saxon house and used decorations from the peasant household, and each bathroom is personalized with old objects from that period. You will gladly discover the godin of the times and the stone sink and you will be transposed during that period.
The living room was specially created for you and your friends. The evenings will be very long around the reconditioned oak table that invites you on a time travel.
We invite you to relax and enjoy the fresh air of the area in the generous courtyard or on the back terrace.
About renovation
All the renovation was done according to modern standards with environmentally friendly materials. We managed to avoid the thermal insulation with polystyrene due to the 50 cm thick walls, and the interior is paved with brick and wood.
To mitigate the effects of pollution, heating from ?ura Sasului is done with pellets and we use our own treatment plant.
In addition, you will enjoy the natural water extracted from a well drilled 100m deep.
About Amna?
You will easily reach Amna?. It is half an hour by car from the city of Sibiu and is one of the few villages that has two motorway exits.
The village was depopulated after the Revolution, when the majority of Saxons returned to Germany and was then repopulated with Transylvanians from the Sibiu Border.
A few words about the history of this wonderful land will introduce you to the rich and fascinating history of the place where you chose to enjoy nature and history. Amna? was the political center of the Amla? Country, a territory with a ducal rank located in the depression of Salis?te. The first documentary attestation of the Land of Amlash is from 1309. The present village of Amnash was called in the past Amlash or in the Saxon dialect Hamlesch, Hamle?, while in German the pronunciation is Omlesch, and in Hungarian (Omlás).
